The Council is inviting comments on the Draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This sets out how and when we will involve our communities in plan making and as part of the consideration of planning application and enforcement processes.
The deadline for comments is 11.59pm on 28 November 2024.
How the SCI works
The SCI sets out our approach to engaging with the community and explains why, how and when the community will be able to participate in planning. This includes plan making (local plans, supplementary planning documents and neighbourhood plans), planning applications and planning enforcement.
The aim is to ensure consistent and effective community involvement at all stages of the planning process.
