Electoral Register

Please contact us to book an appointment to view the electoral register.

You can only vote in elections if your name appears on the register of electors. To register visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. Each individual in a household must be registered to vote individually.

We produce two versions of the register:

  • The full register of electors – listing the names and addresses of all registered to vote in public elections. This register is used for electoral purposes – for example, making sure only eligible people can vote – and also for some other purposes, set out by law.
  • The open register of electors - an edited register excluding the names of all those who have specifically told us they do not want their names passing on. This list can be sold to anyone for any purpose, including marketing.

Find out more about the difference between the two lists and the purposes that each are used for on our Electoral Register and the Open Register.
